Frankenstein: The Halloween Hi-jinks Musical Comedy will be preformed at the Downtown Cabaret Children’s Theatre, Weekends at 11 AM and 1:30 PM, through Nov 6.    
With Songs and Dances you know and love!-And a load of tricks and treats! It's a hard knock life for Little Orphan Heidi. She's the "Maid of all overwork," at Herr and Frau Pumpernickel's Bavarian Tavern. But that's not all – Up in his Transylvanian castle, Count Dracula and his Gummy Grandmother, are planning to put little Heidi into their Thanksgiving dinner pot. Horrors! But Dracula is a big old failure as a vampire and everything else. That's when the fun begins, as Dracula and Frankenstein, and a bevy of super brat school girls come together in crazy and daft encounters! Described as "inspired mayhem."

Western Connnecticut State Univesity will stage “Sweeney Todd” for weekends in October through November 12, in the Berkshire Theatre in Berkshire Hall on the university’s Midtown campus.

Theater Auditions October 24

Auditions at Curtain Call, Inc. for When We Are Married, Directed by Joel Fenster are on October 24 & 25 at 7pm in The Dressing Room Theatre  

The Seven Angels Theatre holds auditions, by appointment only, for ACHES and PAINS - an original musical, Music by Richard DeRosa (Composer of Mad Bomber) with Book and Lyrics by Dan Calabrese, on Wednesday, October 26th from 6-9 PM and Sunday, October 30th from 5-8PM.  For appointment call Michelle, extension 22   

The Repertory Theater of New Britain has scheduled auditions for its March 2012 production of “Ivanov” by Anton Chekhov, on Sunday, November 6th and 20th noon to 4p.m., and Monday, November 7th and 21st: 7p.m.-10p.m.

Bridgeport Theatre Company is holding open call auditions for The Laramie Project on Sunday November 13 from 5-8pm and Monday, November 14 from 6pm-9pm (sign-in begins 30 minutes prior, and closes an hour before the end).

The Warner Theatre Main Stage Production holds open auditions for Titanic on Monday, November 14 and Tuesday November 15 at 7:00pm

Slant of Light Theater Company in Bridgeport: openings for interns for spring 2012, for high school students, college students, eager adults; with hours flexible. These are unpaid positions.  E-mail the theater for specifics.

At the Seven Angles Children’s Theatre is Pinkalicious between October 19- 22 at 10 AM
Pinkalicious can’t stop eating pink cupcakes despite all the warnings she receives. Her pink indulgence sends her to the doctor’s office with Pinkititis, she has turned pink from head to toe. But when her “pinkness” gets to a deeper shade of pink, only Pinkalicious can figure out a way to fix this problem. You’ll turn pink with laughter! A valuable lesson about self control and the importance of moderation for boys and girls of all ages.  

Ridgefield Theater Barn 'The Theater Barn Kids'  presents Annie Jr.  October 21st - 23rd.   
It’s upbeat plot and flamboyant characters have made Annie one of the most beloved musicals in history. It will be amazing to see the Theater Barn Kids bring it to life on the Ridgfield Theater Barn stage!

On October 13 at the Bushnell is The Little Red Hen
Based on the traditional folk story, this musical adventure follows The Little Red Hen’s common sense encountering of the tricks of the conniving fox to lead the sheep, the cow, the horse, and the pig to a life lesson.  This is a feel-good, foot-stompin’ country musical with plenty of audience participation. The show is appropriate for: Pre-K through grade 2.
