Theater for Children and Young adults Feb 23

At The Ridgefield Playhouse on Feb 25 it’s Harriet Tubman & the Underground Railroad
Presented by Theatre IV, Arts in Education, A Black History Month Production.
This stirring drama with music is a classic tribute to the great American who freed herself and hundreds of people from the bonds of slavery. Her courage helped change the world. Share her adventurous life, the joys, sorrows, and challenges faced by this brave woman, in this accurate and deeply moving musical history lesson.

According to legend, the story is set during actual battles that took place between the Chinese and invaders known as the Tartars. Mulan's father was ordered to serve in the army. He was old and weak, so Mulan disguised herself as a man and fought in place of her father. Don't miss this inspiring tale which has entertained audiences since the year 420.

At the Westport Country Playhouse is A Jigsaw Jones Mystery – The Case of the Class Clown on Sunday, March 6, 1pm and 4pm. An ArtsPower Production For grades 1 through 4

Town Players of New Canaan audition The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee By Rachel Sheinkin and William Finn, Directed by Lynne Bolton on Monday & Tuesday, February 28 & March 1 at The Powerhouse Performing Arts Center, Waveny Park, New Canaan.

Theater for Children and Young adults Feb 16

This is the last week for Rumpelstilskin, at the Downtown Cabaret Children’s Theater  
The story of turning straw into gold and how the kingdom of Whipple is saved. Good old Rumpel! The Grimm fairy tale brought to life with songs and music.

At Playhouse on Park is Homeroom
Matters of importance to contemporary teen-agers in school are explored in Homeroom. The show begins with Jeff, expressing the belief that the kids in his homeroom have nothing in common except for their last name starting with the letter “V”. Fifteen songs later, Jeff is more aware of the similarities than the differences. The teens come together to share their feelings regarding relationships, academic success and failure and the significance of secrets, lies, loss and lockers. Their individual stories weave together a musical that addresses themes of understanding, acceptance, independence and responsibility. Middle school through High schoolers and their families will enjoy this musical.

The Westport Community Theatre announces auditions for Mixed Couples By James Prideaux, Directed by Jessica Denes on: Monday, February 14th at 7:00 PM 
 
The Bridgeport Theater Company holds open call auditions Monday, March 14th from 7-10pm (sign-in begins at 6:30, sign-in ends at 9pm).  Actors will audition in order of arrival at Playhouse on the Green.

Auditions for The Girl In The Freudian Slip by William F. Brown, Directed by Kim Wantroba are  at the Cheshire Community Theater on Tuesday Feb 15th at 7:00 PM

The Slant of Light Theater will hold aduitions for Cairo Stories by Tom Coash, directed by Abbie Chase March 22 and 24 at the Woodmont United Church of Christ, 1000 New Haven Avenue, Milford.
