The Theatre Artist Workshop presents Cheer Up! A Holiday Revue  this weekend only December 2, 3 & 4

At Hartford Stage is A Christmas Carol     Opens November 25 – December 30!
Hartford Stage brings the magic of Dickens’ heart-warming classic to life in this Connecticut holiday tradition! The tale of Ebenezer Scrooge, the heartless miser who discovers the true meaning of the holiday season after a Christmas Eve haunting, features all of Charles Dickens’ beloved characters: Tiny Tim, Bob Cratchit and the Spirits of Christmas Past, Present, and Future. Ghosts take flight and soar across the stage, carols are sung and snow falls capturing the spirit of a Victorian Christmas forever warming the hearts of adults and children alike.

Charles Dickens' A Christmas Carol performs at The Shubert New Haven December 2 through 4.
This staging of the Dickens' tale evokes both the chilling poverty and luxurious wealth of 19th Century London as a thrilling backdrop to the spellbinding tale. Every memorable detail of Dickens’ "A Christmas Carol” springs to life in this colorful production–from a snowy set that faithfully re-creates the Victorian period of London in the 1800s, to spine-chilling ghosts and several special effects, most notably Scrooge's Bed, which literally takes flight!

At the Ivoryton Playhouse, take an unexpected blizzard, add a sprinkling of the Nutcracker, a pinch of Dickens’ Christmas Carol, stir in a little romance and festive song, top it all off with holiday magic and you get a new family tradition called Home for the Holidays premiering, December 8th through the 18th

Jib Productions performs Seasons Readings.
Capture the holiday spirit with short plays, stories and surprises! At the Greenwich Arts Council on December 8 and the Westport Woman’s Club on December 15
In this lineup of heartfelt holiday humor, outlandish playwright Frederick Stroppel offers The Land of Sweets; Ann Patchett recounts a memory of her father in How to Read a Christmas Story; David Sedaris tells a torturous tale of working as an elf in Santaland; Wolcott Gibbs, in the riotous Ring Our Wild Bells, gives a new meaning to the expression ‘with bells on;’ and Matt Hoverman explores the pull between past disasters and present possibilities in his play, Going Home.
