For the Holidays December 2011

It is the final performance at the Downtown Cabaret Children’s Theatre, of Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, December 28, at noon.

At the Sherman Playhouse is Sleeping Beauty  December 30 & 31,at 8pm and January 1, 2012 at 2pm
A Pantomime in the British style! And to be very clear: THERE IS ABSOLUTELY NO MIMING IN BRITISH PANTOMIMES. None whatsoever. Imagine American musical comedy with vaudeville routines. There are tuneful songs, funny jokes, and lots and lots of audience participation. So bring the kids, bring the grandparents, bring the whole family and come and have fun! Fun, Laughter, and Happily Ever After.

At TheatreWorks New Milford, Present Laughter by Noel Coward is December 30, and 31, & January 6, and 7, 2012
A popular, pampered actor - modeled after Coward himself - is busy making preparations for an extended overseas tour with his devoted secretary Monica. His plans are complicated first by Daphne, a beautiful stage-struck ingenue, as well as an absurdly eager and aspiring playwright, who insist on his attentions. When his wife, his agents, and his numerous admirers arrive, Garry is hard pressed to escape what quickly spirals into a hilarious farcical game of cat-and-mouse.

At Hartford Stage is A Christmas Carol  continuing through December 30!
Hartford Stage brings the magic of Dickens’ heart-warming classic to life in this Connecticut holiday tradition! The tale of Ebenezer Scrooge, the heartless miser who discovers the true meaning of the holiday season after a Christmas Eve haunting, features all of Charles Dickens’ beloved characters: Tiny Tim, Bob Cratchit and the Spirits of Christmas Past, Present, and Future. Ghosts take flight and soar across the stage, carols are sung and snow falls capturing the spirit of a Victorian Christmas forever warming the hearts of adults and children alike.

On Friday, December 31st it is First Night Danbury!, Beginning at 4:00 all over Downtown!
